Just before you start your home detox diet, if possible, it’s a good idea to enlist the support of your family or friends - people close to you. Tell them why you are doing a home detox program and how you are feeling. Let them know about the positive results you get but also call upon their encouragement if you have a down day.

Everyone hits little sticking points and that’s when you need family and friends around to help pick you up again. You may even find that they want to join in your home detox program and get a little health boost for themselves.

The 28 or 7 day detox should be an enjoyable experience. During this time you will need to make a number of changes to your old eating habits. You will probably find that you eat different types or amounts of certain foods.

You may eat foods in different combinations from those you are used to. You will have to make changes to your usual shopping habits and perhaps the way you prepare and cook meals. That’s why it’s important to start the home detox diet when the time is right for you and you know you can commit to change.
